We are seeking an accomplished and values-driven leader to join Government House Queensland in the pivotal role of Director, Operations.

We are seeking an accomplished and values-driven leader to join Government House Queensland in the pivotal role of Director, Operations. This senior appointment presents a unique opportunity for an accomplished professional to lead operational functions. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the highest level of service delivery in support of the Governor, the Vice Regal program and the ongoing stewardship of this historic heritage estate.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee all operations, ensuring responsive and quality services
  2. Lead specialist teams, promoting accountability, teamwork and improvement
  3. Manage Capital Works and maintenance per heritage and operational needs
  4. Maintain strong governance, compliance, risk and WHS standards
  5. Handle budgets, forecasts and performance reports
  6. Build relationships with stakeholders, agencies, providers and industry experts
  7. Represent the Office in forums and committees

What We’re Looking For

  1. Experience leading complex, diverse operational teams
  2. Track record delivering premium operations, ideally in hospitality, facilities or estates
  3. Strong strategic, financial and project management, including capital works and asset management
  4. Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication

A relevant degree in business, facilities, project management, hospitality or similar is preferred.
