Diesel Technician / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
Permanent Opportunity | Clayton, VIC
TRS Resourcing is seeking on behalf of our client an experienced Diesel Technician / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic for a permanent, workshop-based role in Clayton.
This position will see you working in a two-mechanic workshop, responsible for maintaining and servicing a diverse fleet of trucks, forklifts and company vehicles. Occasional travel to other Melbourne metro sites may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Servicing and repair of heavy vehicles, trucks, forklifts and light vehicles
- Fleet maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Breakdown repairs as required
- Preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- On-site maintenance at other Melbourne locations when required
- Completion of basic maintenance records and paperwork
Skills & Experience
- Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
- Previous experience in a fleet maintenance or workshop environment
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence (HR or truck licence advantageous)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Reliable, practical and safety-focused approach
