SkillQuest Solutions are seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Technician on behalf of our client who provides a wide range of general, cosmetic and restorative dental services, based in Point Cook, Victoria.

This welcoming dental clinic operates with modern dental equipment and follows established clinical and infection control protocols to support safe and effective treatment outcomes. Salary - $75,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation per annum

Employment Type - Full-time, Permanent

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a qualified Dental Technician who takes pride in precision and quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

· Interpret dentist prescriptions, scans and impressions to fabricate dental prosthetics such as crowns, bridges and dentures using acrylics, ceramics, alloys and resins.

· Prepare dental models from patient impressions and use laboratory equipment to trim, shape and polish appliances for accurate fit and function.

· Complete waxing, porcelain layering, contouring and polishing of dental restorations prior to clinical placement.

· Repair, adjust and modify dental appliances including dentures, retainers, splints and orthodontic devices in accordance with dentist instructions.

· Fabricate custom appliances such as occlusal splints, mouthguards, whitening trays and retainers using traditional and digital techniques.

· Maintain lab equipment such as grinders, polishers and 3D printers, including calibration, maintenance and inventory checks.

· Follow infection control, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures within the laboratory environment.

· Liaise with dentists and clinical staff to confirm specifications and ensure prosthetic meet functional and aesthetic requirements.

· Maintain accurate case records and work documentation, including prescriptions, materials used and appliance specifications to support quality control and traceability.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

· Relevant qualification, such as a Diploma of Dental Technology or higher (or agreed equivalent).

· Minimum of 1 year (preferably more) work experience as a Dental Technician in a dental laboratory or dental clinic environment.

· Demonstrated experience fabricating dental prosthetics such as crowns, bridges, dentures and orthodontic appliances.

· Experience using dental laboratory equipment and materials, including acrylics, ceramics, resins and alloys.

· Knowledge of digital dental workflows, including CAD/CAM systems and 3D printing technology is highly regarded.

· Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce precise and high-quality dental restorations and appliances.

· Understanding of infection control procedures, dental laboratory hygiene standards and workplace health and safety practices.

· Ability to interpret dentist prescriptions, impressions and digital scans to produce accurate dental appliances.

· Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with dentists and clinical staff.

· Solid organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and meet laboratory deadlines.

· You must have unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia to be eligible for consideration.
