Quadconnect is a data and communications contractor specialising in the installation and site management of data centre end user fitout projects. Our core activities include fibre and structured cable install, termination and testing along with electrical install and commissioning.
Due to ongoing growth, we are currently seeking the services of a data and communications technician with the following skills and experience.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Reading project documentation including floor plans, specifications and cutsheets.
- Installation of cable containment
- Installation of fibre optic and structured copper cabling
- Patching and termination of fibre and copper cabling
- Fault finding and fault rectification
- Installation of racks and network equipment
- Lead and manage small teams
Skills, Experience and Qualifications : 3 years experienced in install, patching and validation of Fibre cabling and networks within a data centre project environment. Termination and testing of structured copper cabling. Ability to read and follow cutsheets and project specifications with autonomy. High attention of detail and care, role requires successful applicant to work within highly critical operational facilities. Hold a qualification in either electrical or data cabling trade desirable.
