Are you passionate about authentic Indian cuisine and eager to join a vibrant culinary team? Sada Punjab (Singhprabh Pty Ltd), a renowned Indian restaurant located in Wellington Point, Brisbane, is seeking one full-time cook to bring traditional Punjabi flavours to our esteemed patrons.
About Us:
At Sada Punjab, we pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional dining experience that unites people through the rich history and traditions of Indian cuisine. Our menu features a variety of dishes, including buttery dal makhani, smoky paneer tikka, tender tandoori chicken, and soft, flavourful kulchas, all prepared with the finest ingredients and utmost care.
Position: Full-Time cook (1 position available)
Location: Sada Punjab, 15/685 Old Cleveland Road East, Wellington Point, QLD 4160
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook a wide range of traditional Indian dishes, ensuring consistency and authenticity in taste and presentation.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with the head chef to develop and innovate menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Kitchen Management: Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with staff to ensure efficient service and high-quality food delivery.
- Training & Mentorship: Assist in training junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a cook in an Indian restaurant, with a strong understanding of traditional cooking techniques and spices.
- Culinary apprenticeship or equivalent certification preferred.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Relevant work experience in the occupation required.
Working Hours:
- Scheduled between the hours of Monday to Sunday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Restaurant opening hours for customers from 5:00PM to 10:00PM).
