About Us:

We are Indian/Pakistani restaurant located in the famous Bankstown suburb in Sydney. We are seeking an experienced Cook, who can join our team, and can speak multi-languages like Hindi,Urdu, and English.

With a focus on growing our team, we are looking for enthusiastic, passionate, creative people, always looking for ways to improve the customer experience and satisfaction.

We believe that food is something that can create a feeling of immense satisfaction and are seeking personnel who share the same views.

The successful candidate should be available to start immediately including weekend. We do serve breakfast in weekend, so successful candidate should available for the breakfast service.

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Cook to join our team. You will work closely with our chefs and kitchen staff to prepare high-quality dishes in line with our menu and traditional Pakistani and Indian flavours.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare, cook, and present a range of dishes including curries, tandoori items, naan, biryani, and breakfast meals
2. Maintain food quality, portion sizes, and presentation standards
3. Assist with function and catering services when required
4. Ensure hygiene and safety standards are followed at all times
5. Store food properly and monitor ingredient freshness
6. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace
7. Follow recipes and instructions from senior chefs and management
8. Work efficiently in a busy kitchen and support other staff as needed

Skills & Experience Required:

1. At least 1 year of full-time experience as a Cook, preferably in an Indian/Pakistani or halal restaurant
2. Ability to work with tandoor ovens and understand heat levels (low, medium, hot)
3. Familiarity with curry bases, spice profiles, and naan preparation
4. Good understanding of food safety and hygiene
5. Team player with good communication skills
6. Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and rotating shifts
7. Able to follow instructions and manage workload in a fast-paced environment
8. Basic knowledge of English (knowledge of Hindi/Urdu is a plus)
9. Halal food preparation knowledge preferred
