About the Role:
Are you a skilled Industrial Spray Painter with solid experience in two-pack spray painting heavy-duty equipment? Our client, a well-established truck, trailer and dumper truck body manufacturer in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs, is seeking a qualified Spray Painter to join their production team.
This is a hands-on role where quality, efficiency and pride in your work are valued. You will play a key part in ensuring finished builds are durable, precise and visually exceptional.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and mask truck chassis, trailer bodies and dumper truck components to production standards.
- Colour-match and accurately mix paints in line with build specifications.
- Apply primer and high-quality finishing coats using HVLP spray gun systems (two-pack).
- Read and interpret workshop drawings, blueprints, and build sheets.
- Prioritise workloads to meet production deadlines.
- Work independently or as part of a production team when required.
- Maintain a safe, clean and compliant workshop environment.
What We’re Looking For: To be successful in this role, you must have:
✔ At least 3 years’ experience in industrial two-pack spray painting — ideally on truck trailers, chassis, agricultural or heavy equipment.
✔ Proven experience with heavy-duty vehicle components or large-format builds.
✔ A valid Spray Painter Trade Qualification.
✔ Current right to work in Australia and based in Melbourne, VIC.
✔ Two recent reference contacts (from past employers).
✔ Excellent attention to detail and a quality-driven approach.
✔ Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
