Take the Lead on a Portfolio That Matters

Austbrokers ABS is looking for a full-time Client Service Manager based in Sydney, NSW.

Reporting to the Divisional Manager, you will take ownership of a well-established portfolio of approximately $800K, focusing on delivering exceptional client outcomes while driving retention, growth, and long-term value.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Managing a diverse commercial portfolio with a strong focus on retention and growth
  2. Providing tailored insurance advice aligned to client needs and risk profiles
  3. Building and strengthening relationships with clients, insurers, and stakeholders
  4. Identifying opportunities for new business, upselling, and cross selling
  5. Leading and supporting a Client Service Broker aligned to your portfolio
  6. Managing claims, remarketing, and credit control processes
  7. Contributing to team performance and broader business initiatives
  8. Maintaining high standards of compliance, reporting, and service delivery

Bring the Experience That Sets You Apart

To qualify, you will need a Diploma of Insurance Broking (or Tier 1 compliant qualification), along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Account Manager or similar broking role, managing a comparable portfolio.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  1. Strong experience across commercial insurance products such as ISR, PI, Motor, and Management Liability
  2. Proven ability to manage and grow a client portfolio
  3. Confidence engaging with clients and insurers to achieve strong outcomes
  4. Experience supporting or mentoring junior team members
  5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
