We welcome children from 6 weeks to 6 years, with Before & After School Care and Vacation programs available for children up to 12 years old.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Child Care Worker to join our warm and professional team at Ignite Early Learning Centre. This role sits under ANZSCO Code ****** – Child Care Worker, and plays a vital part in delivering high-quality care and education to children in our purpose-built facility. You will work alongside experienced educators to create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that supports each child's individual growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years
  2. Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging educational programs in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
  3. Observe and document children's learning, development, and wellbeing
  4. Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  5. Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
  6. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised learning environment
  7. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress
  8. Ensure compliance with National Quality Standards (NQS) and relevant legislation
  9. Participate in team meetings, professional development, and centre initiatives

Required Qualifications

  1. Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (minimum requirement)
  2. Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (highly regarded)
  3. Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) – NSW
  4. Valid First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012 or equivalent)
  5. Anaphylaxis and Asthma management training

Skills & Experience

  1. Minimum 1 year of experience in a childcare, early learning, or education setting
  2. Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
  3. Genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
  4. Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  5. Ability to plan and deliver creative, engaging, and age-appropriate activities
  6. Patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to child care
  7. Strong understanding of child safety, safeguarding, and duty of care obligations
  8. Ability to work a rotating roster including early mornings and afternoons
