XS Espresso Menai is currently seeking additional Chefs to support its growing operations and ensure continuity of high-quality food preparation and service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare, cook, and present menu items in line with venue standards
  2. Assist with planning and developing menu items in coordination with the Senior Chef
  3. Ensure all food is prepared efficiently, safely, and in compliance with food safety regulations
  4. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and food preparation areas
  5. Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and receiving supplies
  6. Support high-volume service periods and maintain consistency in food quality
  7. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  1. Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
  2. At least two years’ experience working in a commercial kitchen environment
  3. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and commercial cookery practices
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
  5. Understanding of workplace hygiene, safety procedures, and food handling requirements
  6. Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions from senior kitchen staff
