About the role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our team and help bring these flavours to life. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality Southeast Asian cuisine while maintaining efficiency, consistency, and creativity in the kitchen.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes across the menu, including curries, shared plates, and desserts
- Ensure consistency in flavour, presentation, and portion control
- Maintain high standards of food quality using fresh and authentic ingredients
- Manage stock ordering, rotation, and inventory control
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and workflow
- Work collaboratively with management to maintain food cost targets
- Contribute to menu development and innovation, including plant-based and modern interpretations of traditional dishes
- Train and mentor kitchen staff as required
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
Skills and experience
- Diploma in Hospitality Management (or equivalent qualification)
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
- Experience with Asian or Southeast Asian cuisine (highly desirable)
- Strong understanding of spices, flavour balancing, and traditional cooking techniques
- Excellent knife skills and kitchen organisation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail in both flavour and presentation
- Passion for food innovation and cultural cuisine
