Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and contributing to menu development.
Key Duties
- Plan menus and estimate food and labour costs
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to a high standard
- Supervise and train kitchen staff
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and compliance with regulations
- Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Manage stock ordering, rotation, and inventory control
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
Skills & Experience Required
- Relevant qualification (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent)
- Minimum 2-years relevant work experience as a Chef
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
