Are you a passionate Chef looking for a secure and rewarding position in the hospitality industry? Fasta Pasta Brighton is looking for a dedicated Chef to join our busy kitchen and help deliver fresh, high-quality meals to our guests.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  1. Plan and organise the preparation and cooking of high-quality Italian dishes in a dining and catering environment.
  2. Prepare and cook pasta dishes, including Beef Boscaiola, Pollo Delizia, Marinara Linguine, and Bolognese.
  3. Prepare and cook pizzas, including traditional and gourmet options.
  4. Cook mains like Chicken Parmigiana, Fish and Chips, and Italian-style risottos.
  5. Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs, and order food supplies.
  6. Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and kitchen staff.
  7. Collaborate with managers, waitstaff, and kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
  8. Ensure proper storage and preservation of ingredients, including fresh pasta, sauces, and seafood.
  9. Maintain quality control of all dishes to ensure consistent taste, presentation, and timely service.
  10. Prepare meals to meet special dietary requirements, including vegetarian and gluten-free options.
  11. Ensure efficient kitchen operations, optimising workflow and organisation.
  12. Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with regulations.
  13. Pay close attention to detail in food preparation, plating, and portioning.
  14. Train new kitchen staff and apprentices in cooking techniques and kitchen procedures.
  15. Organise and manage staff duty rosters for smooth shift operations.
  16. Perform any other relevant duties as directed by management.

What We’re Looking For:

  1. Minimum Qualification is Certificate 4 or Diploma in Hospitality.
  2. Experience as a Chef in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen.
  3. A strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation
  4. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards.
  5. Excellent time management and teamwork skills.
  6. Availability to work on a 5-day roster, including weekends.
