About This Role
1. Designing menus, calculating food and staffing costs, and arranging the purchase of food supplies.
2. Supervising the standard of dishes during all phases of preparation and service.
3. Liaising with managers, dietitians, and kitchen and service staff on food preparation matters.
4. Showcasing cooking techniques and advising on preparation methods.
5. Preparing and cooking meals.
6. Outlining and enforcing hygiene and food safety requirements.
7. Recruiting and training junior staff.
8. Carrying out food freezing and preservation activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
·Applicants must possess a Diploma in Hospitality Management.
·Minimum 1 year of experience as a chef.
·Strong ability to carry out tasks with precision and attention to detail.
·Ability to manage multiple tasks without compromising quality or safety.
·Ability to develop and improve recipes or menus.
·Sound judgment, particularly in high-pressure situations.
·Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
·Proven capability to accurately follow instructions.
·Excellent verbal communication and customer interaction skills.
·A proactive and positive mindset.
·Well-structured and organized approach to work.
