SS & PG PTY LTD T/A Dosa Hut Sunshine Coast is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef/Cook/Restaurant Manager with expertise in Indian cuisine to join our team full-time. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our high standards of food quality and presentation while demonstrating a deep knowledge of Indian Cuisine.
Chef/Cook: Salary 75000 to 80000, Plus Superannuation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to portion control, quality standards, and presentation for all dishes.
- Collaborate with management and team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Oversee food hygiene practices and occupational health and safety compliance.
- Plan and develop menus, including specialty Indian dishes, with proficiency.
- Specialize in Tandoor cooking, including preparation of naan breads and various Indian curries.
- Minimize food wastage and manage labor costs effectively.
- Work with management to set and achieve daily and weekly production goals.
- Monitor inventory and maintain stock levels to optimize food costs.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and meet quality standards.
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff.
- Prepare curries, sauces, and desserts as required.
- Maintain strong organizational skills to manage kitchen workflow efficiently.
- Guarantee all food prepared in the kitchen meets our high standards of taste and presentation.
About You:
- Minimum 1 years of experience in a similar role.
- Certification in Commercial Cookery (Cert III, IV, or Diploma).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
