Position Summary

We are seeking a qualified Carpenter to perform a broad range of carpentry tasks. This role requires both structural and finishing carpentry skills across various construction and renovation projects.

Key Duties

·Studying drawings and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and installation procedures

·Selecting and preparing timber and other materials for construction, installation, and renovation works

·Measuring, marking, cutting, and shaping wood, plastic, and other materials

·Constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures such as frameworks, partitions, floors, roofs, and stairs

·Performing demolition, alteration, and reconstruction work as part of building renovations and refurbishments

·Installing doors, windows, cabinetry, and internal/external fittings

·Fitting and assembling prepared wood structures and fixtures on-site

·Ensuring structures are level, plumb, and aligned using appropriate tools and equipment

·Installing and repairing formwork and frameworks as required

·Carrying out finishing work including trimming, moulding, and detailing

·Maintaining, repairing, and replacing existing structures and fittings, particularly in renovation settings

·Operating hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely

·Ensuring all work complies with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations

Skills & Requirements

·Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification

·Minimum 1 year of relevant full-time work experience

·Proven experience in general carpentry including structural, finishing, and renovation work

·Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings

·Knowledge of building standards and safety regulations

·Strong attention to detail and high-quality workmanship

·Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·Own tools and reliable transport preferred
