Carpenter

Description of the position:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced carpenter to join our construction team in Bundall Queensland. The successful candidate will be responsible for provide high-quality carpentry jobs in our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

·Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to determine material requirements, dimensions, and installation procedures

·Sourcing and selecting timber and materials, and preparing accurate layouts

·Cutting, shaping, assembling, and securing structural components

·Erecting frameworks and roof structures, installing sub-flooring and floorboards, and verifying structural alignment

·Fixing fascia panels, roof sheathing, exterior wall cladding, and door and window frames

·Assembling prefabricated timber components into structures and fittings ready for installation

·Cutting and forming precise wood joints

·Constructing and installing internal and external staircases, decking, and fencing structures

·Installing fire-rated wall systems and fire-resistant boards in multi-dwelling construction in compliance with building codes and regulations

·Constructing concrete formwork as required

·Repairing and restoring existing fixtures and fittings as required

·Working with a range of materials including plastic laminates, perspex, and metals as required

Requirements:

·Certificate III in Carpentry (Australian qualification preferred)

·One year plus of relevant work experience (preferably in Australia).

·Own vehicle to travel around sites across Brisbane region.

·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·Reliable and friendly attitude to work both independently and within a team.
