What you will do:
·Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine materials, dimensions, and installation requirements.
·Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install timber and other materials for structures such as frameworks, walls, floors, ceilings, doors, and windows.
·Construct and install formwork, frameworks, partitions, and structural components in accordance with project specifications.
·Install fixtures and fittings including doors, windows, cabinetry, and other custom woodwork elements.
·Carry out repairs, renovations, and maintenance of existing structures and fittings as required.
·Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and effectively.
·Ensure all carpentry work complies with Australian Standards, building codes, and workplace safety regulations.
·Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
·Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications.
·Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
What you should have:
·Relevant trade qualification in Carpentry (Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent).
·Proven experience working as a Carpenter within construction or building projects.
·Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
·Proficiency in using carpentry tools, equipment, and machinery.
·Solid understanding of Australian building standards and safety regulations.
·Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
·Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
·Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability on-site.
