Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working with a growing and highly regarded cabinet making company committed to designing, manufacturing, and installing beautiful, bespoke joinery for homeowners and businesses across South Australia. They specialize in the manufacturing and installation of custom-built kitchen cabinetry but are also involved in cabinetry across various other areas.

They are currently seeking one or more qualified Carpenter and Joiners to join their team in Holden Hill to manage increasing project demands

• Salary: A great salary is offered in the range of $75k to $90k plus superannuation per annum

• Tenure: Full-time and ongoing

• Location: Based in their modern workshop in Holden Hill SA

The duties and responsibilities of the position will include:

Blueprint Interpretation:

• Study architectural drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions, and installation procedures

Structural Construction & Installation including but not limited to:

• Modify timber frameworks where required including but not limited to bulkheads and other framework required to ensure cabinetry can be safely and appropriately fitted

• Repair and if need be, at times install subflooring to ensure level surfaces and structural integrity

• Repair and renovate existing timber fixtures and structural elements.

Cabinetry Installation & joinery site work

• Construct and install timber components, backing panels, fillers and supports required for cabinetry fixing

• Use appropriate fixing methods to secure cabinetry to structural elements, ensuring stability and compliance with site requirements

• Assemble and install kitchens, wardrobes, laundries, vanities and other cabinetry at residential construction sites.

Quality & Safety

• accuracy and quality standards in accordance with the National Construction Code.

• Adhere strictly to OH&S regulations regarding site safety and machinery operation

To be considered for this role you should be able to positively address the following attributes:

• Qualified to relevant Certificate IV or agreed equivalent with all necessary cards.

• At least 1 preferably more, years of relevant trade experience in carpentry and joinery since you gained your qualifications, ideally in a similar environment.

• Proficient in using hand and power tools to construct frameworks, cut and shape timber for floorboards, skirting, and fixing wooden structures.

• Strong attention to detail and workmanship.

• Solid OH&S awareness and be physically fit.

• Happy team member keen to get the job done, on time, to high standards.

• Keen to be employed on a full-time salaried basis (not suitable for subcontractors).

You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights.
