Position Summary

The Cabinetmaker is responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring wooden furniture. Key duties include:

  1. Reading and understanding detailed shop drawings to ensure precise execution of designs;
  2. Produce detailed cutting lists as required;
  3. Manufacture joinery projects in the workshop using a range of equipment including but not limited to power saws, drills, drivers, boring machine, sanders etc;
  4. Install hardware such as hinges, catches and drawer pulls;
  5. Construction and assembly of cabinetry, doors, and other wooden structures while maintaining accuracy and durability in each build;
  6. Repairing and restoring wooden furniture and fixtures using appropriate techniques to ensure structural integrity and high-quality finishes;
  7. Assembling and installing custom cabinetry, shelving, and other woodwork components according to design specifications, ensuring structural integrity and high-quality craftsmanship.

Requirements

  1. AQF Certificate III. Alternately, 3+ years of work experience can replace qualification.
  2. At least three years of work experience required.
