Optimum Machining Services is seeking a full-time Cabinet Maker to join its team in Campbellfield, Victoria.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced tradesperson with strong cabinet making and assembly skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key duties include:

1. interpreting drawings, specifications and cutting lists
2. measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling timber, laminate and other materials
3. manufacturing and installing cabinets, joinery and custom-made furniture components
4. operating woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
5. carrying out edging, laminating, fitting, sanding and finishing work
6. installing hardware including hinges, handles, drawer runners and related fittings
7. inspecting finished products to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
8. maintaining a clean and safe work environment in accordance with workplace safety procedures

Applicants should have:

1. relevant cabinet making or joinery experience
2. the ability to read and interpret workshop drawings and plans
3. experience using relevant tools and machinery
4. good attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
5. the ability to work effectively within a team environment
6. reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

Position details:

1. full-time role
2. 38 hours per week
3. based in Campbellfield, Victoria
4. salary of $76,515 to $88,920 per annum plus superannuation, based on 38 hours per week
