Job Description
The Bricklayer is responsible for laying bricks and blocks to construct and repair walls and structures in accordance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.
Daily tasks include:
1) Read & Interpret Framing Plans
2) Measure & layout the walling systems to be installed, Brick, AAC etc.
3) Use a range of power tools, Mixers, Circular Saws etc.
4) Preparing work areas and base surfaces, including applying damp-proof materials and laying mortar to create stable foundations.
5) Cutting, shaping, and repairing bricks and masonry to fit openings, corners, and irregular spaces, and maintaining existing brickwork when required.
Requirements:
1) Level of required qualification: AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV
2) Experience: At least one year of work experience.
3) Other Main requirements to be considered for the position:
- Communicate well with Team members and Supervisors.
- Attention to detail to ensure straight walls are built at all times;
- Ability to solve problems under pressure.

Annual salary: $76,515 + superannuation (38 hours per week)
