Our client, a prominent community health provider in the Hume region, seeks a dynamic Allied Health Education Coordinator to join their Allied Health Education and Research Unit. This pivotal position supports and develops allied health professionals across multiple disciplines within the organisation and partner services, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
The successful candidate will report to the Manager Allied Health Education and Research Unit and hold responsibility for enhancing allied health workforce capability through innovative clinical education programs, professional development initiatives, and strong regional partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of education frameworks and clinical training programs supporting allied health professionals at all career stages.
- Cultivate partnerships with internal managers, educators, external educational organisations, and professional bodies to expand access to quality education and research opportunities.
- Promote integration of evidence-based practice by coordinating educational needs analysis and delivering responsive training plans aligned with emerging healthcare challenges.
- Oversee funding and financial management related to education programs in collaboration with unit management.
- Support the Allied Health Education and Research Unit in research activities, quality improvement, and knowledge translation to enhance service delivery and educational impact.
- Champion innovative learning modalities including simulation-based learning and online education platforms to broaden program reach across the region.
- Deliver expert guidance and mentorship to clinicians, facilitating professional development and adherence to clinical standards and patient-centred care.
- Contribute to organisational initiatives fostering a positive learning culture, safety, and compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Essential Selection Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology, Medical Imaging Technology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Social Work, or Speech Pathology.
- Current registration with AHPRA or eligibility for full professional membership with relevant body as applicable.
- Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience with advanced clinical education and leadership expertise.
- Demonstrated ability in designing, delivering, and evaluating allied health education and professional development activities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to build and sustain regional stakeholder relationships.
- Proven track record in clinical leadership, health workforce development, and continuous quality improvement.
Desirable Attributes:
- Postgraduate qualifications in Education or working towards.
- Experience in coordinating education and research initiatives at regional or national levels.
- Technological skills in e-learning and digital education solutions.
- Published research or conference presentations related to allied health education or clinical practice.
