About the Role

The Eastern Health Transition to Practice (Graduate) Clinical Educator (Allied Health) is responsible for the development and coordination of the Allied Health Transition to Practice program requirements across all Eastern Health sites.

The Allied Health TTP Educator will collaborate with members of the Eastern Health Institute and Allied Health Directorate to design, develop, deliver and evaluate education activities for Allied Health (General) graduates based on identified priorities. The Allied Health Interprofessional Educator will facilitate interprofessional education initiatives and support novice Allied Health staff from varied professions.

Additionally, program coordination includes supporting learner’s health and wellbeing, liaising with graduate representatives, monitoring of program requirements, as well as ongoing evaluation and improvement work. 

About You 
To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Current registration with AHPRA, SPA, or relevant body 
  • Clinical experience with education programs including experience in clinical practice supervision of learners (students, graduates)
  • Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • The ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.

Those that are offerred and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offerred and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
